Hi! Sorry for posting this publicly, I couldn’t find a private email address. It sounds like this is a really great community and I’m looking forward to trying your Tofu! I’d like to know what precautions Twin Oaks has been taking since the Fukushima disaster has poisoned the sea water surrounding Japan. I hope you are not getting any ingredients from Japan or if you are that they came from before March 2011. Thank you for responding!
Hi Jen, We are entirely USA-based and local to the East Coast, and get all of our ingredients here in the USA. We DO NOT EVER outsource overseas. Our goal of saving and sharing resources results in our limiting fossil fuel use, which precludes us using ANY overseas ingredient, especially as you cannot guarantee the certification of ORGANIC from certain areas. So rest assured. Twin Oaks Tofu is as natural as ever.
